The traditional closing match of the Cross Country season saw Surrey Year 7 and 8 athletes dominate the Southern Counties  finishing in the top 2 Team places in each race. Our 67 athletes showcased County running at its finest, competing with confidence and sheer positivity. 

The Year 7 Boys finished 2nd place close to winners Essex with Joshua McCearney (2nd) and Logan Lew (3rd) with 7 Surrey runners in the top 20. The Year 7 Girls took success to the next level with Surrey finishing Year 7 Girls Southern Team Champions (32pts ahead of 2nd placed Hampshire,  with Mya Keelaghan Claw-Wilson (1st) and Southern Champion with Vivienne Loynes (3rd) with 12 Surrey runners in the top 20 of SE Runners. 

The Year 8s continued the Surrey success story with Year 8 Boys 2nd Placed Team (just 19 points from Kent) led by Hugh Burke Murphy (5th) and Thomas Living (8th). The final race saw Surrey Year 8 Girls finish as Southern Team Champions with Surrey having 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th positions.
